Bhindi subzi
I made this for lunch,my favourite. This recipe preserves the original flavour of okra and the limited use of spice doesnt mask its flavour.
Ingredients:
okra-I used cut and frozen packet, which saves a lot of time
onion-1,thinly sliced
green chilli-2 chopped
tomato-3 chopped
garlic paste-2 tsp
coriander powder-1 tsp
amchoor powder-half tsp
salt
oil-little
Jeera-1 tsp
Method:
1.In a karahi, add oil and jeera. when they splutter, add onions and green chillis.
2. Once lightly brown ,add garlic paste, fry for 2 min then add okra and saute till done
3.add the spices now and fry for few min
4. add chopped tomatoes and cook for 2-3 min
5. Serve it with phulkas
Tip: To cook bhindi faster, smear oil and microwave it covered for 3 min and then add!
