Easy Aloo
This a very simple recipe with very few ingredients and it goes very well with chappathis. The leftover, if any can also become a delicious sandwich filling.
Ingredients:
Potato-4, sliced and cut in small pieces
cumin seeds-1tsp
spices- apinch asafoetida, 1/4 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp chilli powder
salt
oil-2 tbsp
Method:
1. In oil, add cumin seeds. When it splutters, simmer and add the spices.
2. As soon as it sizzles ,add the potatoes and salt. Mix well.
3. Cook it covered on low flame stirring intermittently. The cooking time depends on thickness of potato slices but should not take more than 15 min.
Serve it hot with phulka or roti and Dahi tadka .
